Welcome to the EAD Weddings blog! We are so excited to have you here. If you are a new visitor, we'd love for you to subscribe to our RSS feed and visit our sister site, EAD Living. Thanks for visiting and we hope you come back soon!

I love over-the-top.  Big puffy sparkly pink heart love it.  And, of course, since I’m an invitation designer, my favorite way to go over the top is with stationery!

One of my favorite sites is Alia Designs.  Their invitations are exquisite.  They leave absolutely nothing unfinished and use only the finest craftsmanship and materials.  The ribbon is always elegantly embroidered.  The boxes perfectly match.  And everything is done with an impeccable attention to detail.

Invitations (or Save the Dates, should you choose to send them) are the first thing that guests see and set the tone for your event.  It still amazes me that people choose to downplay this facet of their wedding.   Treat the paper goods like favors – guests will cherish the wonderful gift of the brown silk place card holders and will forever treasure the keepsake of the invitation that featured sand and seashells (and the memories it brings back!) from your beach wedding.

The simplest of these is actually my favorite.  I love the pearlized details on the portfolio-style invitation – especially the hand-calligraphed invitation inside.

Hope this inspires you to go plush – go big, go AMAZING – on your invitations.
