755 Club, Turner Field
Very excited today to announce that I have booked the venue for my Welcome Party — the 755 Club in Turner Field!

We are doing a welcome party rather than a traditional rehearsal dinner due to the small size of my event and the fact that we have no local guests. And we are both Atlanta Braves fans from birth so it was only natural that we have a part of the vow renewal incorporating one of our favorite things.
I am so happy (and glad to have another thing off of my to-do list) and I have SO many ideas brewing already! Any good baseball decor inspiration for me?
E.
PS - I’m also very close to choosing a photographer… but I’m not spilling who yet! It’s a surprise.

Ooooh! Very nice! I love the idea of a “welcome party” as opposed to a rehearsal dinner and what a great place to have it too!
LOVE the new layout!!
What a fun welcome party! I had a couple last year that did a rehearsal dinner centered around baseball (he played in the minors)… and it came out really well. I think that the main challenge for us was keeping it cohesive without feeling too “themey” or like a 10 year old’s birthday party…. some elements we played with:
- Stir Sticks with tiny pennant flags- the flags then had the couple’s last name written out in “baseball cursive font”
-Menu of funnel cakes, hot dogs, cold beer, etc served by the waitstaff on cigarette girl trays to mirror the baseball vendors
-The invitations and vases both incorporated red baseball stitching
-The linens we chose were white with navy pinstriping much like that of a baseball uniform
-The invitations were letterpressed to look like baseball ticket stubs
-The couple collected photos of all of the guests and then had trading cards printed with fun little facts and stories. The cards were then placed in the centers of the tables to serve as conversation starters.
Good luck to you! You’ll have to share pictures when its done!
