2008 Calendars
A few years ago, Elizabeth created this beautiful calendar for Christmas that I still have in my inspirations basket. I pull it out every now and then to ponder. It sat on my desk at work for a year, and it was so sad to put away that December.
Now I’m on my own. E has other more important things going on (ahem). In honor of that project, enjoy these two links:
Bluelines clip art calendar (free)
A Muse calendar ($3, donated to Scleroderma Research Foundation)
They are both roughly the same size. Personally, I prefer A Muse’s version. It doesn’t have the moon phases!

Honeymoon on Oahu
In the second installment of our honeymoon series, we’re switching gears.  If our romantic, art- and food- filled Paris honeymoon isn’t your style, perhaps you’re a beach couple.Â
Today, we take you on adventure in the most populated Hawaiian isle, Oahu.Â
Oahu is home to world-famous Waikiki beach, the city of Honolulu, a fantastic north shore full of extreme sports opportunities, Pearl Harbor, and Diamond Head, where you can find one of the most gorgeous views anywhere.

Custom Printed Tape
For those who truly want to personalize everything, I give you custom tape. You may think it looks a little strange, but Tiffany & Co. uses it to hold their also-personalized tissue in place. And what’s good enough for Tiffanys is good enough for me.

For the DIY inclined, you can do this on your own with full-page inkjet labels (I prefer clear, to give the look of Scotch tape), a corner rounder, and a sharp paper trimmer. Simply create a template using a table in Word with your logo, monogram, or name, repeated as much as the page allows. Be careful to record your table measurements, because you will want to trim it down to size but do not want to print the cell borders. Simply print and cut, and I personally like to round the corners for a little bit of a special touch. Voila! The perfect way to put your own spin on packaging.Â

Reception Music
I love Weddingbee and search its archives all the time! Today I came across this post from Mrs. Bee, listing the top 100 requested reception songs. I know I found some that I am putting on my have-to-play list, and also some I am banning! This is from 2006, so it might have changed slightly, but you get the gist.
Three of the top 5 were already on my MUST play list, Brown Eyed Girl, Sweet Home Alabama, and Hey Ya!. All are good old true Southern girl choices.
Can I just say that I HEART that Def Leppard was in the top 10? As a child of the 80s, Def Leppard and Bon Jovi are on my list as well.
However, I am slightly disappointed that Love Shack is #6? Really? Also, as much as I love Lonestar’s Amazed (fantastic song, really and truly), it’s above At Last, What a Wonderful World, and Friends in Low Places? We as a society have issues.
1. Abba - Dancing Queen
2. Outkast - Hey Ya!
3. Ac/Dc - You Shook Me All Night Long
4. Lynyrd Skynyrd - Sweet Home Alabama
5. Van Morrison - Brown Eyed Girl
6. B-52’s - Love Shack
7. Kool & The Gang - Celebration
8. Black Eyed Peas - Let’s Get It Started
9. Def Leppard - Pour Some Sugar On Me
10. Sister Sledge - We Are Family

755 Club, Turner Field
Very excited today to announce that I have booked the venue for my Welcome Party —Â the 755 Club in Turner Field!Â

Images courtesy of the 755 Club
We are doing a welcome party rather than a traditional rehearsal dinner due to the small size of my event and the fact that we have no local guests. And we are both Atlanta Braves fans from birth so it was only natural that we have a part of the vow renewal incorporating one of our favorite things.Â
I am so happy (and glad to have another thing off of my to-do list) and I have SO many ideas brewing already! Any good baseball decor inspiration for me?

PS - I’m also very close to choosing a photographer… but I’m not spilling who yet! It’s a surprise.

Honeymoon in Paris
We talk a lot about weddings here at EAD, and not very much about honeymoons. You, the bride or groom, put approximately 1,000 collective hours of planning into the six-nine hours of your wedding day, but are you devoting enough time to the honeymoon? Travel agents can make this easy but you are often paying much more than you could by doing the legwork yourself. If you have the money and want to leave it in someone else’s hands, go for it! But if planning is the fun part for you, read on.
We’ll be posting regularly in this new honeymoon series, and will focus on various honeymoon spots that we know well. We’ve traveled, planned, and done the research for you - so you can take our tips and run with them! Today I’m featuring Paris, one of my absolute favorite places on earth. And one of the most romantic honeymoon destinations. Grab some coffee (and a pain au chocolate) and settle down… this is a long one!

Friday Etsy (sort of, but not really, ok, not at all), MadeByGirl
Jennifer of Earth Friendly Weddings posted on MadeByGirl. I immediately went to the site and ordered two cards. The cards are so original and witty! I love them, and I know you will too. It’s not Etsy, but it is handmade and fantastic.

Pronovias
I was cruising Brides.com for a gown I saw in the current issue. Instead, I found this beauty. Colina, created by Pronovias.
It’s the perfect mix of sweet and sassy. I also found the following lovely ladies. Nacar ran a close second to Colina.
clockwise from top left: calais, cangas, nacar, cordoba
So to answer Miss Flamingo, this would be my dream for right now.

Hydrangeas
Until I started planning my vow renewal I didn’t know that I loved hydrangeas! They are simply gorgeous in the type of arrangements that I am drawn towards - low and lush - as well as bouquets, wreaths, and pomanders!

Top row: istockphoto, Bloomery Weddings, Verbena Designs
Bottom row: Gregory’s Garden, Pricescope, Jupiter Images
I also love the variety of colors that hydrangeas come in - blue, purple, green, white, pink - you name it, you got it!
