Blue: Food (well, mostly cakes)

Sorry the post is so late! It’s been a crazy day today.
Search for blue cakes, and you have a plethora of choices. Search for blue foods? Not so much! You’re left with potatoes, blueberries, blue corn chips and bleu cheese. Not a great selection. But! We’ve found some fantastic choices for cakes and a few extras.
First up, my favorite (from The Knot).
I may have cheated by including a slightly purple combo, but I love the design! So simple and fresh.

And we’ve all seen it, the custom drink. What a fantastic opportunity to bring in blue!

While this is not exactly a food item, this cake stand from Clara French via Style Me Pretty was too cute to pass up.
And my personal favorite of the day (only because I can never turn a cupcake down) these little treats from A Piece of Cake. How cute would those be for a shower? Or the wedding with a lovely initial on top?

I love the aqua cake with the brown ribbon from Papillon Cakes. A very dear friend of mine is having that design copied for her April wedding.
I am partial to the cupcakes since I did cupcakes at my wedding.

My wedding cake was simple square white with an aqua blue ribbon at the base of each tier. We also have passed blue martinis during the cocktail hour…they were a huge hit!
My sister’s doing a blue wedding, so I’m now obsessed with your site (Again). I saw yesterday a cute white cake decorated with blue hydrangeas. So pretty!
