So inventive and thoughtful.  The luggage tags are perfect for a travel-themed reception and any guest would feel so lucky to receive this useful favor.  Pashminas are great for a summer wedding where your guests may not be wearing something warm but a/c makes the reception a bit chilly.  And oh, the lanterns.  So adorable!  People can use these for table decorations long after your wedding.

Next, we examine the chalkboard trend.  I like this, in certain circumstances.  For example, what about a rehearsal dinner held in a restaurant that utilizes chalkboards, like Macaroni Grill?  Or a brunch reception with a slightly french theme (somehow the chalkboard on the left just inspires me to think french!).
