CASUE Sweets
I’m totally infatuated with the adorable custom cookies made by Casue Sweets. How fun and personal would it be to have your dress turned into a cookie for your favors? Or, if you know your color scheme, make a bridesmaid’s dress cookie to send with your “Will You Be My Bridesmaid?” cards.

Get Married at City Hall… seriously!
San Francisco’s City Hall is one of the most gorgeous and glamorous wedding venues I have ever encountered. I am *in love* with the elegant flooring, beautiful rotundas, and amazing staircase.

It is definitely not cheap (prices range from $5,000 to $30,000) but if you have a large party to throw, where better than here? And everyone always says that they should’ve just “gone to city hall”! Here is an example of a couple who did just that!

PS - I just realized that I obviously do not know how to filter my Google Analytics correctly. I was amazingly excited to see tonight that we have actually had 7,000 visitors in the past two months, not 4,000 as I had originally posted. WOW to all of our fantastic visitors - thank you SO much for reading!

Romantic White and Pink
After seeing these beautiful gowns, I was inspired to create an board showcasing a pink and white summer wedding with a romantic and classic vibe. How do you make pink work in an adult setting? Tone it down by pairing it with a small dash of gray.

Top row: Artfool, Absolutely Beautiful Things, Artfool
Middle row: Stoneblossom Floral, Dauphine Press, MS via Snippet and Ink
Bottom row: Weddingbee, Artfool, the Knot
As you can see, a little pink goes a long way! I love how sweet and feminine this wedding is, without being over the top or too “cute”. It’s whimsical and playful but timeless. And best of all, it’s pink but not preppy!
Enjoy!

The Stars
My feed reader is out of control! I’m on it constantly, and regularly have several hundred unread posts. It’s almost a full time job. Here are some recent posts that caught my attention:
- White House Weddings by Miss Peacock (love the Tricia Nixon dress from Priscilla of Boston)
- Snfran67 Paper Sculptures from Paper Crave (gorgeous)
- Does Marital Bliss Last? by Mrs. Violet (my answer: bliss comes and goes, love stays)
- A $300 Wedding Dress at $10,000 Wedding (what can I say? so creative.)
- Marrylicious on Brown Sugar Design (raises the bar for all creative types)
- Ateliar Isabey on What Junebug Wants! (shows us what the process for custom invites should be)

todd. part 3
Details details details! todd. clearly realizes, as we at EAD do, that it is *all* about the details.
That candy buffet is one of the cutest I have seen - I think the bags make the display perfect.

todd. part 2
I’ve simply been drinking in all of the inspiration from todd.’s gallery and I think the destination wedding section is my favorite!
What intrigues me the most (and gives me a great appreciation for todd.’s talent) is the difference in lighting. Each type of event is styled completely around the total vibe that the bride and groom want to convey and every decor element is adjusted based on the lighting of the room. To illustrate this, take a look at the different lantern and votive placement and focus in the two reception pictures. Stunning.
Just a little bit more later today!

todd. part 1
In need of some ideas for your decor? Have a look at the website for todd. event design. Their gallery contains sections for weddings, destination weddings, events, parties, and floral and is sure to give you an inspiration boost!
The attention to detail is just marvelous. There is too much gorgeousness for just one post, so I’m starting the day with snippets from the wedding gallery and will continue later on with the destination section and will finish up tonight with events and floral.
Enjoy and I’ll be back later today with more!

Favorite Wedding Movies, Elizabeth
There are too many to list!!! But I did my best to narrow down the choices to my top 4 (in no particular order!).

Betsy’s Wedding
A true classic! Alan Alda is absolutely hilarious as a middle-class father going nuts to throw an impressive party for his daughter (Molly Ringwald), who is marrying into a very rich family.
My Best Friend’s Wedding
Julia Roberts is perfectly cast as a woman who realizes that she is in love with her best friend *after* he decides to marry another woman!
The Wedding Planner
The best of these for wedding ideas! Jennifer Lopez is a high-end event planner who, naturally, falls in love with the groom of her biggest client. Great, great wedding movie.
Father of the Bride
What can you even say about Father of the Bride? Steve Martin just makes this movie as a dad that’s reluctant to let his little girl (a fantastic Kimberly Williams) go. You might even get some ideas from Franck, the hilarious wedding planner!
Honorable mention goes to American Wedding, Four Weddings and a Funeral, Muriel’s Wedding, and the Philadelphia Story.
Are there favorites that Anne and I missed?

Favorite Wedding Movies, Anne
E and I were discussing what a PERFECT weekend it is. That is, a perfect weekend to bunker down with our sweeties and watch movies. Not just any movies mind you! Wedding movies. My picks are:
- Wedding Singer - Adam Sandler makes me laugh until I cry.
- Runaway Bride - Love Julia Roberts hair and dress choices. Perfect!
- My Big Fat Greek Wedding - Poofy sleeves and tulle, need I say more?
- Wedding Crashers - I’ve had a crush on Vince Vaughn since watching Clay Pigeons with my sister in law.
E gave me some great classic titles that I need to watch. I’m off to add to my Netflix queue!
