Olive and Gray

It’s time for another color week and we’re loving gray (perhaps I’m loving it because it’s all I see all day here in Chicago during the winter).  But we’re changing up the format of color week this time around.  Rather than featuring different details of one color throughout the week, we’ve decided to present inspiration boards with color combinations utilizing our color week pick instead.

I’ll kick it off a day early with my gray and green board (just for you Anne K)!

Green and gray typically feels so modern to me, so I set out to create more of a natural feel with this inspiration board.  The key is the shade of green you use.  For the perfect modern wedding, use a Brooklyn Bride-esque fresh green.  Vintage wedding?  Go emerald.  Spring green and gray makes a perfectly preppy palette.  And last but not least, go olive as I did for a rustic mood.

We have so much inspiration coming your way for this color week.  Gray is my FAVORITE neutral so I’m excited and I hope you are too!

I’m touched that you would think of me! I am a bit partial, but I love this board. I can’t wait to see what other brilliant things you come up with!

ooh you could have gray porcelain serving bowls with plump olives on the tables for when the guests arrive!

Lovely board! The little couintry bride is so cute. Gray is a great color to start with and so many options for a palette. But, this soft and elegant combo is perfect for early spring. Look forward to more!

so soft and pretty!
