Brunch Receptions

Spring is just around the corner!  Although it hasn’t yet sprung in Chicago, the days are getting longer and today I didn’t wear a scarf!  With that in mind, I went on the hunt today for light and fun table settings that are perfect for one of my favorite types of weddings – brunch receptions.

Brunch receptions have several great qualities – they are FAR cheaper than their evening counterparts and they are more casual and intimate.  I love these ideas for brunches:

Drink Flags – fun, chic, easy to DIY, and perfect for your brunch lemonades or Long Island iced teas.

Luggage tag place cards – playful, useful and they double as favors!

Individual cakes – instead of a large formal wedding cake, choose individual portions.

Serve crepes!  Or better yet, have a crepe station where people can choose their sweets or savories.

So if you’re on a budget (or even if you’re not!) rethink having that early morning event.  There’s tons of possibility.

PS – Obviously all of these ideas are also perfect for your day after brunch or bridesmaids luncheon!

we heart your comments!
  1. So pretty! Makes me want to have a tea party!! If I ever get married again, I would have a brunch, but these are such great ideas- I will pass them along to my clients.

  2. I’ve slightly regretted not having a brunch wedding. It would have been smaller and require less decisions. It just seems like there would be less pressure to have fun too.
