My cats just want to help!
Our three cats really are our best friends, so when we think about which friends and family we want to honor at our wedding, it seems strange to purposely exclude our little guys. But, unlike the growing trend of canine ring bearers, there’s no meaningful opportunity for felines to contribute. So let me put it to the readers: how can we honor our beloved pets at our wedding, without them physically being there?

we love our cat too and debated with the idea of doing a cat themed favor in her honor. they have these great and inexpensive cookies at trader joes called cat cookies, we were thinking of giving a bag as favors and then a note letting guests know we are donating in their name to the shelter where we rescued her from.
A friend of mine has a few special dogs in her family who aren’t going to be a part of her wedding-so all of her table names will be dog’s names (past and present).
I’m hoping our bulldog , Maverick will be able to be at our wedding in some capacity, but if not, I was planning on having some sort of bulldog stamp to put on the back of our DIY invites with “Maverick’s Prints” as the copyright, or on the tags of our favors. My fiance and I were both “bulldogs” in high school (in different parts of the state) so it is special for us!
Maybe put your cuties in your program?
One of my brides put a beautiful, framed photo of their doggie right on the cake table.
I know. Dog. Cake. But everyone loved it and was sure to see it. The dog couldn’t be there but they wanted to show him off!
what about instead of favors, make a donation for each guest to a cat rescue society? in honor of your pets? you could place a little card at each place setting that a donation has been made in honor of your friends
Hmmm… good ideas. I really wanted our 4 bunnies to be at the wedding(I can just hear the “huh?” coming from people reading this) but since it’s at a forest sanctuary for birds, they allow no pets. At all. So I think we are going to do a trash the dress photo session and have the bunnies with us for some shots.
I’ve seen it done in the past - and I’m planning on doing it myself:
Take photos of your beloved pets with large number cards in the image or in the case of my lab Sterling, a number hanging around his neck and frame them for your table numbers.
