It’s not pink, and it’s not wedding, but it’s a HUGE moment.
John Smoltz accomplished a feat at 7:42 ET tonight that only 15 men before him have done - he struck out his 3,000th batter. All of the strikeouts came while in an Atlanta Braves uniform. That’s special, people.
He’s my hero.

John Smoltz is one of my all-time favorite pitchers. And I’m a Mets fan!
I respect him so much for sticking with the team even when they demoted him to the bullpen. And now he’s back as a starter and giving the Mets a hard time.
You’re silly! But I must admit, I feel the same way about a Carolina Panther when/if they do something great! - ha!
