I am wondering if you would help me with a little inspiration! I am getting married this October at the Ritz-Carlton in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. I am very much in the beginning of planning, and I only have 5 months to go! EEK! Its regal and beautiful, and I am very excited. I am thinking “beach elegance”; we’re not getting married on the beach, and the reception is in the ballroom. I had tossed around turquoise as THE color, but then saw your post on berry and chartreuse and love that too! Doesn’t help to be indecisive! I would love if you could put together an inspiration board for me that will help me see my vision of Caribbean elegance? That would be so wonderful…and so helpful.

So I had open season to help Elizabeth with her color palette dilemma. And I have to tell you it was fun.  Because she loved the chartreuse board, I started looking through our green pictures - and there I found the fantastic photo in the top left from Millie Holloman and inspiration struck.  So a lime and periwinkle inspiration board it was!

This is probably one of my favorite boards that I have ever done.  The simplicity and modern-but-lush look is perfect for St. Thomas and it’s definitely elegant enough for the Ritz-Carlton ballroom (which is done in mostly shades of yellow).

Elizabeth, I hope you like it!

I’m starting to think lime is THE new color for weddings - I’m seeing it everywhere and I love it! This is an absolutely lovely board.

love love love! but you already know how i feel about lime. (see, e.g., my lime green kitchen.)

Lovely board! I love the color combo. Definitely makes me think of Caribbean elegance :)

I LOVE IT!!! So fresh & elegant

Oh so pretty and juicy and fresh. Nicely put together E!

Oh my gosh I love this!!!

I got married in the Caribbean too, and used chartreuse/lime as my main color as well (with accents of mango and fuchsia) - it really works well agains the turquise blue of the water and the sandy beach hues. You will have a FABULOUS wedding!

The Ritz is amazing for weddings! You have chosen well :) The room is in warm/yellow hues as mentioned by E. and is spectacular :) Have a great time!

Orange and chartreuce is very nice together
