The notion of "branding" a wedding makes me gag a little. But this one is in the right spirit. It's when it gets too logo heavy that I get turned off :P

I think the big thing having a "theme" does is make the planning process a little easier. Really!! If you have a certain look/feel going, it helps to narrow down your choices. Which really helps when you're indecisive like me!

@ a.r. We completely understand that some brides aren’t into the details. I wasn’t when planning my wedding! But for those brides that are interested, we hope this helps them carry their themes through.

hi a.r.! you have a valid point in focusing on how you want your guests to feel. having them enjoy your wedding is the best compliment you could receive.

in some respects, i think that you are right - people don't notice as much when everything is cohesive. but people do notice if it isn't. :)

Personally, I think most details (including the minutiae like fonts on the paper elements) are important only to the Bride. Most guests won't notice how all things wedding related tie together. Unless they're craft hounds, graphic designers or event planners. ;)

I'm putting my focus on how I want the guests to FEEL at our ceremony and reception: welcome, included, and appreciated; and what I want the event to be for everyone: ENJOYABLE. Whether or not the embellishment on the invites matches the cake or place cards is not on my radar screen. Ensuring everyone is comfortable, well-fed and has a drink in their hand IS.

i am dying over the bird stuff you've posted here and in earlier posts. i so wish blogs like this had been around years ago so i could've incorporated birds into my wedding. we had some in the centerpieces, but they weren't too noticeable, esp. since they weren't anywhere else either.
