Real Wedding: Yvonne + David
When I first laid eyes on Yvonne and David’s incredible wedding pictures…they took my breath away. I immediately contacted her about featuring her wedding on EAD and she generously agreed. She described planning the wedding as a true “labor of love”, which clearly shows in all the personal and incredible details below.
They were married at Studio 116 in Seattle, which complemented their vision for a modern and chic wedding perfectly with its all white backdrop. Yvonne, who is also a talented wedding photographer herself, was kind enough to share a few details of the day(including her lovely diy projects)….
this is where it all began…i created 2 different logos and couldn’t decide between the toilet people lover or puzzles, so I just went with both! this also allowed me to finally decide on the colors for our wedding. paper zone and paper source were my favorite stores to hit for this project.
How absolutely stunning does Yvonne look in her killer birdcage veil and Vera Wang dress?
the glass globes are from cb2 and we basically filled them with flowers, bear grass, and candles randomly.
How lovely is the picture above?
all bcbg, all the same color, all the same style(w/different details), and most importantly all under $80 on ebay!!
i saw lisa from good on paper’s wedding and she had wheat grass centerpieces, so I basically borrowed that idea for our wedding. then i tied brown polka dot ribbons to complete the modern cutesy look. the wheat grass centerpieces are from molbaks.
i purchased the roses from costco, which is actually cheaper than wholesale, and the quality was magnificent. then i got the rest of the flowers from top foods, since I really wasn’t using that much of floral deco to purchase through wholesale.
the alter was framed by two light cubes(my coffee tables from home) and bamboo sticks in tall vases. the bamboo sticks are from cb2.
I hope you enjoyed Yvonne and David’s elegant wedding as much I did. Thank you so much to Yvonne for sharing her beautiful day with us!! Don’t forget to check out Yvonne’s wedding photography blog and knottie bio for more beautiful pictures and information on other vendors…

Oh how gorgeous! Between the birdcage and the sparklers, this is just how I want our wedding to look!
I love that veil. I have been trying to find a place that makes a modern bird cage very similar to that. Is there any way to find out who made her veil?????
[...] I’ll probably write up a whole feature about it later this week. If you can’t wait, go here to check out the rest of the pictures, they are amazing! Possibly related posts: (automatically [...]
