DIY Project: Prohibition-Era Cocktail Recipe Book

These favors from last weekend’s party provided a wonderful keepsake for all the guest to remember the night. To try this project for your next party, just follow this simple how-to for yourself; feel free to place recipe cards, fun facts about the guest of honor or family photos in the pockets. This project is great because it can easily be personalized to meet any theme or event!

Supplies:

Directions:

  1. Glue middle of ribbon to address side the top envelope. Placement should be in the center of the envelope.
  2. Place glue inside envelope flap of next envelope (polka dot area in diagram) and affix to first envelope, covering ribbon.
  3. Repeat step 2, adding another envelope to previous until number of envelopes is met.
  4. Place inserts inside envelope, fold into accordion formation.
  5. If using a label, punch a hole in the top left corner, affix brass eyelet and string finished label onto the ribbon.
  6. Tie ribbon into a bow and enjoy!

*example uses 5 envelopes, but any odd number will work!
