Nightmares
So last night I had least three vow renewal related nightmares. Unfortunately it isn’t the first time. So far I can remember that I’ve had dreams about the following:
1) My DH forgot to rent a tuxedo and the planner had to go find one an hour before the event.
2) I never got my hair done so 2 minutes after the event was due to start, my sister was frantically curling it.
3) Somehow our event was held in a MOVIE THEATER?
4) Forgetting escort cards and menus entirely.
5) Not having a dress and having to hold the ceremony in my hotel room in my pajamas (this one is very bizarre).
Am I the only one having nightmares?
E.

i had these all the time. the dress nightmare happened the most often. and i definitely had a nightmare about not having my hair done. i dreamed that i completely forgot to wake up and my hair was DIRTY at the wedding.
Oh yeah - my dreams started almost immediately after getting engaged. The worst was the one where the wedding had started but no one had realized it so I just started walking down the isle hoping people would recognize what was going on.
That and any wedding related dream where BOTH my parents are involved.
You are not alone, friend. We should start some sort of subconscious support system…
Yes… I thought I was the only one! I’ve had about 3 or 4 already and I’m getting married next June. Most of my nightmares are about my current wedding project… my wedding starting wihtout a wedding dress (that dream stopped after I actually bought my dress)… or my flowers missing!
You are definitely not the only one. I have had two so far and I am not getting married until September of next year! Scary!
I’ve had one nightmare where I was in my PJs, the photographer was no where to be found, I had no make up or hair done. I resolved to myself that none of this mattered, the point was we were getting married. But I stopped for a moment to shed a tear at all the work I had put into it being forgotten and lost, and everyone started calling me a bridezilla for being upset enough to shed a tear.
On a brighter and more bizarre note, I also had a dream that involved a sports commentator as my wedding planner. If you want a laugh read it on my blog:

Nope, you are not alone! I have wedding related nightmares all the time now. The first one involved our cake not arriving in time so I went to the bakery myself (in my wedding dress) where I slipped and fell into the cake. The worst one involved our first dance. My fiance started jerking around and dancing like Carlton on Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. We enrolled in ballroom dance class soon after that one.
Leading up to my wedding, I had numerous wedding-related nightmares. Of the ones I still remember there was one where I was running so late it was after midnight when I got to the church, and in another, I realized on the day of my wedding that I’d forgotten to mail the invitations! Happily I can say, neither happened in real life
I think the nightmares seem to go with the territory, not that it makes them any less unnerving when they happen!
