Wedding Day Hair

Oh, hello Myra from Twigs & Honey! Why, what a beautiful flower you’re wearing… what? It’s for me??
That’s right! This week I received this GORGEOUS flower in the mail for my wedding!! It’s so beautiful in person, and I think will be so pretty in my hair on my wedding day. It’s so tactile, I couldn’t resist the urge to touch it when it came (with clean fingers, of course)!

So this has got me thinking again on hairstyles. I know I want to wear my hair up, and I thought I was sold on this style:

But, to make sure that I find the best hairstyle for me, I’ve been considering other alternatives. I would like to find the one that looks the best on me, with my long but fine hair. Here is a picture of Chris and I, and how my hair “normally” looks:

I’m just not sure if I want to go for a more structured or a more loose look. Logically, I should get to the hairstylist to experiment!

What a lovely flower, it’s going to look beautiful in your hair! I had a hard time deciding what hairstyle to wear when I got married as well. I started off wanting something very loose and romantic, but I ultimately went with an updo. My hair tends to be a bit uncontrollable and with an updo, there was less of a chance of my hair looking like a frazzled mess towards the end of the night.

I agree that you should should experiment with a stylist, but I love the Jennifer Behr pic and I think it would work really well with your hair! Sorry for the unscolicited advice, but I really enjoy your blog and couldn’t resist sending you a hollah :)

I had myra to make me two awesome flower peices for my wedding as well. I loved them so much! I can on wearing them every ann.! I also styled my similar to the stacy reeves phot. MY hair was my favorite thing and myras work is great!
yes. two different styles. i’m glad i went with the simplier one. it was more romantic and loose. i think generally you’ll appreciate that years to come.
oh i love the flower, so pretty! i think a looser look can be so, so beautiful — i really like the michelle williams look. if i looked good in an up do, i think i would have done that for my wedding!

I am not sure if I am wearing a flower or birdcage veil. I see a picture like this and I think flower. I see a pretty birdcage, and think birdcage. Thankfully i have plenty of time to figure things out!
