Coordinating the Rings

My husband and I broke with tradition quite a bit when it came to selecting my engagement ring. Instead of a diamond solitaire, he gave me a gorgeous 1-karat sapphire set in a white gold and diamond bubble band. My wedding band is a simple band of tiny diamonds to match.

We didn’t want my husband to have a ring that’s completely different from mine. We wanted there to be some continuity, even though the rings would not be identical. After an exhaustive search, we found the right match: a titanium band with a tension-set rough sapphire. My husband loves it because it has a sapphire, like mine, but is also manly.

we heart your comments!

What a gorgeous ring! I just spent way too long browsing at the Clay Pot online– it is an embarrassment of riches.

I have a sapphire e-ring too and I love it. Yours is beautiful! What a great find find for your husband!

those rings are so stunning!!!

I love both your rings (my e-ring is by a designer at Clay Pot, too – Todd Reed – and we also bought FH’s ring on Etsy!), and I also love that your husband was into wearing a gemstone. I don’t think I could ever convince my FH to do that, but your husband’s ring is AMAZING!!! You’re right, it’s definitely manly, and not at all flashy like some men’s rings that have gemstones. It’s perfect.

These rings perfectly coordinate. Your husbands ring is so breathtaking and I agree that it is not flashy at all. What a perfect pairing.

That’s the ring I originally wanted! But the fiance didn’t like that the center stone was a sapphire, and I didn’t like the look of that ring with a diamond, so I dug around and found a new ring that I loved even more, and, of course, it was by a designer that they also carry at the Clay Pot.

I LOVE your husband’s ring. I just might have to steal that idea!

Titanium is really making a HUGE come back. I love that ring. It is rough yet classy looking at the same time. That is a great choice.
