I’m an idiot! I followed the link to your dress fitting pictures from East Side and didn’t look at the date, so I thought they were brand new and I had missed that you had changed your mind to a birdcage!

Which, by the way, is fabulous and I completely agree with Pamela, your boy won’t even notice what you’re wearing on your head on the day, he will just be blown away by how stunning you are.

I thought That Groom would hate my birdcage. Granted, I didn’t wear it over my face, but it was still a poufy piece of netting. I think if I had showed it to him beforehand, he would have said he hated it. The day of though, she said I looked beautiful. I am sure your guy will end up doing the same thing :)

Oh my, I completely agree with getting tired of details. I am just under three months from my wedding and am more and more thinking the simpler the better. The only bits I’m getting really excited about are my dress and veil. If I was having the right style wedding I’d definitely wear a birdcage veil, but for now I’m going traditional, well today I am anyway!

I’m going to answer Sara and reassure Rachel. I’ve been married for 36 years and a wedding planner for 11 and have raised two sons, so I think I have a bit of experience with men and grooms. Rachel’s groom will 1. more than likely will not even remember he made that comment and 2. when he sees his bride walking down the aisle he will be overwhelmed no matter what she’s wearing. My wonderful husband thinks I look perfect without makeup , do I want to please him YES! do I leave the house without make up NO!!

Yeah, so what! It’s not like he’ll have to wear one too, so go on and make youself happy!! They are elegant, classic and absolutely timeless!
I couldn’t manage to find one for my wedding 4 years ago because nobody appreciates it from where i’m from :( Now that it’s easier to source even from Ebay, i made sure my friends and other bride to be don’t go through the same dilemma and regret as me!

I really did take into consideration my fiancee’s feelings, but this wedding is for both of us. I wanted to look pretty for me. We both agreed in picking out our wardrobes, that I could pick out mine and he could pick out his. There are things he’s chosen that would not have been my choice – but he’s happy with them, so that’s all that matters.
He has no idea of the type/style/look of dress I’m wearing or the flower for my hair. He could easily not like any of them either.
Really, though, I do think he’ll like the veil once he sees it on me. He’s not really all that into fashion and has changed his mind before on such things!
