It’s been a real joy to be able to tell you about my experiences of planning our wedding. As a wedding planner the pressure was on from day one to produce a spectacular day (!) but I think we did an amazing job and couldn’t have done it without our friends and family behind us.
I thought I would leave you with a juicy selection of my favourite shots from our day. It’s been almost two months since we got married and it still feels so fresh. I feel really emotional pouring over these photos-hope you enjoy them…
This was taken just before the bridesmaids left the hotel for Pembroke Lodge. Nervous wasn’t the word!
I think the girls looked so stunning in these dresses as they caught the light and never looked the same shade of blue. They each wore a different necklace and chose their own shoes so as to add a touch of individuality.
In the car with my mummy. We’d just arrived after a long drive around Richmond Park to calm my nerves (we were early) and suddenly the door was flung open and the camera thrust in our faces-you can see how bewildered we are!!
I’m pulling an awful face here but I love it because it shows the happiness, nerves and relief on my face. As I turned the corner with my brother Rhys and caught sight of Rob, he winked at me and I knew everything was going to be ok.
This is love personified! I can’t tell you the relief I felt, especially as Rob had a really good hold on me so my legs wouldn’t buckle!
Totally drenched in confetti. It smelt amazing though-lots of lavender and delphinium petals…most of which I’m sure fell down the top of my dress!
We love this photo, mainly because there are so few really good piccies of us together-Rob pulls awful faces normally! I love my iris and peacock feather bouquet too-it’s tied with 100 year old lace with a 1920s brooch.
If I could wear that veil everyday, I would.
Mum looking gorgeous. I love that she was totally unaware of the camera.
The girls carried hand tied bouquets of burnt orange Milva roses with rosemary tied with organic lace and an antique brooch.
Out in Richmond Park taking some time out on our own.
The bridal party messing around in the gardens…love it!
The first dance to ‘At Last’ by Etta James, performed by our live band. Perfect.
Many thanks to Ami and Rebekah for lending me their stage for the week! Do pop over and visit my blog sometime-I’d love to hear from you! xx
