Real Weddings: Krista + Erik 9.20.08

I absolutely love today’s nautical-themed wedding photographed by Drew B! Krista and Erik were married in Newport Beach, CA at the Newport Harbor Lutheran Church, with a reception at the amazing Bahia Corinthian Yacht Club.

Here’s our gorgeous bride, Krista:

And her groom Erik (in the yellow tie) with his groomsmen. We’ve seen a lot of mismatched bridesmaids, but can I just say that the ties on these men are fabulous?

Do ya’ll remember our little series on branding awhile ago? One of the things that we mentioned was introducing very subtle hints of your theme when you have the chance. Well, one of my favorite details of this whole wedding was something I highly doubt Krista and Erik planned but turned out perfectly – check out the anchor at the front of their church!

The yacht club inspired much of the decor, which was executed to perfection by Fleur De Lis Events. We have a multitude of colors, sailboat escort cards, and floating centerpieces.

Their band, That Vibe, kept the party going strong!

Gorgeous Southern California weather + amazing scenery = stunning portraits.

Drew, thank you so much for sharing this adorable wedding with EAD! More of Krista and Erik’s wedding can be found on Drew’s {blog}.

we heart your comments!

I love all the details, the anchor at the front of the church is perfect :)

[...] fabulous wedding blog, Elizabeth Anne Designs, contacted me asking if they could feature Krista and Erik’s nautical themed wedding. [...]

ACK! I adore the little boats!!

Don’t you love the individual ties on those guys!? There’s no old tradition that groomsman ever have to be dressed exactly alike? Individuality with sense of belonging!
