We Love Jillian Michaels

What is more inspiring than watching contestants on The Biggest Loser get into great shape while Jillian and Bob waver between yelling and loving them into skinny jeans? The correct answer - actually getting into shape yourself. Jillian and the rest of Team Biggest Loser are here to help! They have put out some fantastic resources that get results!

30 Day Shred

At $10.99, this DVD is quite frankly the best fitness bargain we’ve found. The only equipment required is a yoga mat, lightweight weights, and determination. We each purchased a copy after reading all 412 positive reviews. We highly recommend it, but be ready to work the fat off. There are 3 different workout levels, and we have yet to try Level 3. For brides looking for a great workout before the big day, this is as good as it gets.

Making the Cut

After trying out the 30 Day Shred, we wanted more of Jillian. Making the Cut delivers that fix in great detail. In fact, there is so much detail, we’re not sure how to wrap our heads around it. Our only complaint would be the textbook feel. However, the book delivers on tests, recipes and workouts. Making the Cut is most appropriate for brides who need to lose 10 to 30 pounds and want a lifestyle change instead of a daily workout. Our favorite feature is the oxidizer test. Who knew the thickness of your nails indicated what type of food you should eat!

Winning by Losing

We have not tried this book, but it appears to be for brides who need to lose more than 40 pounds and don’t know fitness basics. Say goodbye to the chili fries and hello to healthy eating! The most common complaint is that the material is basic, so if you consider yourself a fitness guru take a pass.

Oh I SO wish I could have Jillian as a trainer! She is so amazing. Thanks for the breakdown of her products. The 30 day shred is currently on my wishlist, so hopefully I have that in my hot little hands soon enough!

Oh my gosh…I love that you posted this!! I was just talking (read: complaining) to my fiance last night that I can’t seem to find a program that a) keeps me interested and b) gets results. I’m about to buy the DVD now.

Weirdly enough, I actually own the “Making the Cut” book, and LOVE the oxidizer test you were talking about. It made SOOO much sense!!!!!

I love you guys :)

today was day 13 for me on the 30 day shred (i’m on level 2). the exercises are a bit boring (i prefer dancing), but it’s a great way to get a super quick, intense workout. and the whole “30 day” idea keeps me focused. the pants i’m wearing today definitely are a bit looser than they were when i started. :)

I just got the first two from Amazon. com yesterday! What a coincidence that you post this today! Awesome :)

I just bought the 30 day shred DVD this weekend. I haven’t tried it yet, but can’t wait to see the results. I’ve only heard good things…so we’ll see. Maybe I’ll have to try it tonight for the first time when I get home from work!

I wonder if it could make a difference in 2 weeks??? ;-)
Really, though, I think I’m going to get this for those times that I’m too busy to get to the gym at a decent hour!!

I just started the 30 Day Shred and it’s great. In just 20 minutes Jillian practically works you to tears, but I already feel more toned and like my clothes are fitting better!

I LOVE the 30 Day Shred! I just finished up my first 30 days yesterday, no cheats! Today was day 31 and I allowed myself a day off. Tomorrow I am starting another 30 days. It was so hard, but so effective. I only lost about 7lbs in those 30 days but I lost inches and I am so much stronger. I can’t wait to see what the next 30 days brings!
