DIY Entry #29: Photo Guest Book

Tina submitted this awesome guest book, using her engagement pictures and her guests’ good wishes!

Instructions:

I created a photobook of our engagement photos on Blurb.com. Each page included a photo of us on the left and a number on the right. The number represented an anniversary and was laid out in the circle pattern from our monogram.

I used my gocco printer to print the different images/designs from our paper products onto oval scallop cards from Paper Source.

I printed two sets of the numbers 1-50 in our fonts for the day on 8.5″X11″ paper. I used a 2″ circle shape punch to make circle cards, then ran them through a Xyron machine to make them stickers.

On the wedding day, we laid out the note cards, some envelopes from Paper Source, decorative pens, and a few bowls of number stickers. Signs invited the guests to pick a “year,” select a note card, write us a message, and use the year sticker to seal the envelope. We will read the message on the anniversary year they selected.

So cute!

we heart your comments!
  1. That is such a wonderful idea! You did such a great job on it! It looks terrific!

  2. I love this idea! How great to read something every year from your wedding guests.
I also love Blurb! Your photos look great.

  3. We want to do a photo guest book as well using engagement photos! I love the notes by years for the anniversaries so creative and sentimental!

  4. I absolutely love the idea of the cards and opening them every year, what a great idea!

  5. i did a blurb guestbook too! guests loved it and we have a new book for our coffee table!

  6. Thanks! It did turn out great. The only problem is that the cards so bulky that that binding’s about the break. I knew that that would happen, but didn’t realize how bad. I should have order pro prints and did some sort of spiral bound book.
