Last Minute Preparations
I have TWO WEEKS to go until we renew our vows! Just 14 days from now we will literally be at the welcome party. I am in shock that things have passed so fast!
This week I have been diligently working to finalize all of the vendor proposals, the seating charts, the music schedules, and all of the other logistics. Oh, and the payments! That money part, it’s not exactly fun. :)
I’ve scheduled my final brow appointment, my last dress fitting is tomorrow, I have shoes and earrings, a hair style, the programs are printed (but they need covers!), and the music list (both play and do not play) is relatively finalized. My mother and sister came last week to pick up most of the DIY items, which was great!
During my time at my parents’ house before Christmas, we’ll be finalizing the OOT baskets and buying little last minute decor items.
So what isn’t done? The favors are in the last stages of completion. I am in desperate need of some sort of bouquet wrap (HELP?!). I need to write the ceremony. I need a spray tan, or three. I am still on the hunt for an outfit to wear to our photo shoot at Turner Field before the welcome party (HELP again?!).
Overall, I am actually feeling very chill. I’m usually such a procrastinator, so I’m kind of proud of myself. I’m to the point where I am just so eager to get this party started!
How are those of you that are close to your events doing?
E.

ohh the day is getting so close!! i cannot wait to see all the darling details that you have worked so hard on!
So, what kind of outfit do you want to wear? Casual or dress? Also, what are you looking for in a wrap? I’m a big fan of ribbon or maybe something from your first wedding? I have always had it in my mind that I would wrap my bouquet in the blue silk fabric from my suit I wore i our first ceremony. Probably dorky, but it’s my way to merge the two events.
Can’t believe it’s so soon!!! Time flies. It’s going to be amazing! What kind of outfit are you wanting to wear? It’s 76 degrees here today… hopefully you’ll get some real December weather for your fabulous event.
i want something casual but not jeans! maybe trousers a shirt and a cardigan. the problem i’m having is color - i love neutrals but navy will blend in with the seats at the ballpark!
Oh honey, its going to be super fantastic! I can’t wait to see it all come together and the photos! Check anthropologie for an outfit, they’ve always got great, photo worthy stuff. Make a list, check it twice, and then enjoy checking things off of them! Don’t forget to delegate, and exfoliate (spray tan humor). xoox
Yay!!!!!!!!!
I can’t WAIT to see it all come together - I’m so excited for you! I know how hard you’ve been working on this. And I’m excited because I know how much fun I had at my wedding - and I’m sure you’ll have just as much fun at your ceremony!
It’s amazing how time flies, isn’t it? I’m glad you’re already adopting a “chill” attitude - that’s what helped me.
For your outfit, why don’t you wear something that will “pop” against the navy seats?? Like a pretty yellow or red?? Choose neutrals for the majority of your outfit, but a pop of color will be really pretty in the photos (and brings color to your skin! or at least my skin!)
LOL about the spray-tan!!! I went the night before and thought I had some good color going on, and then you look at some of the pictures and I’m like “Gee, good thing I did the spray tan, or I would have really matched my dress!”!! Just watch out - mine rubbed off a little on the inside of my dress.
Congratulations!!!
