Really NOW: Caroline and Stephen

A treat, a treat… we’re all in for a treat! The new fabuloso and up-and-comer Wayne Toshikazu just sent me ooodles of wedding pictures from Caroline and Stephen’s big day last summer. Since they came at such a wonderful time, I couldn’t help but share their mexican fiesta styled wedding. SO fun!

First up, some getting ready and detail shots:

There is something soo beautifully organic about a light, flow-y dress. To top it off the detailing was incredible. It was perfect for their beach-side soiree!

This, above, is possibly my FAVORITE getting ready shot of all time. So candid. So amazing. SO CUTE!
And yeah, most of my clients are total knock outs!

Caroline’s gorgeous and simple mantilla-style veil was just the first of many nods to their heritage. I loved her hair- classic half up, loosely pinned with gorgeous flower detail. So lovely.

Natural. Relaxed. Gorgeous.

Caroline and Stephen are both personal, quieter people. It made their intimate ceremony so special to be a part of!

I love the raw emotion from Stephen’s mom during the rose presentation.

[See what I'm saying?? It's like stealing one of their intimate moments in time!]

This event was SO fun. The main colors were a bright blue and fuschia, but with accents of orange, lime, yellow.. really, nothing was off-limits. They wanted it to be soaked in their heritage, and with the paper flowers, ribbons/lace, flag details… it all came together SO well!!

And you can’t forgot the homage to the ever-so-famous “Day of the Dead”. Love it!

The groom’s cake was a surprise to Stephen and SO fabulous! Now, to wrap up this post, some of their amazingly lovely portraits!!!

The true sign of good photography: every single image portrays your true love for one another. These wreak of their love. I mean, I want to frame one and put it in MY house. That’s how good it is.

Sigh. Love is so grand! Hope you all enjoyed this little trip to the Mexican beach-side. What are the elements of any good wedding: make it fun, make it personal, make it YOU.

Have a wonderful week and fill it with the kind of love you want to have when you’re 85!

xoxo,

A. Auer

we heart your comments!

Natural. Relaxed. Gorgeous. So true of the bride. I just love how the photographer uses black and white photo’s I just love them more and more I see the use of them

Great photos! We also went with a similar color scheme. Wished I would have seen the alter decorations earlier for some inspiration!
