With three months to go, I’ve started to give more consideration to what jewelry I might like to wear for the wedding. I am already planning to swipe my sister’s diamond studs for the day as my Something Borrowed and think they will be perfectly simple and pretty. For rings I am going to keep it to my engagement ring and the gorgeous blue topaz ring surrounded by a halo of tiny diamonds that M got me for Christmas as my Something Blue. As an April baby, my birthstone is diamond and as a December baby his birthstone is blue topaz and I love the idea of wearing both on our wedding. The place where I seem to be hung up, likely to an unnecessary extent, is with regards to a necklace. I really have no clue what direction I’d like to go. I don’t know how much I’d like to spend (do I go thrifty or splurge for something more heirloom-quality?), what style I’d prefer (opt for classic and simple or go more fun and bold?) nor what length/shape (would short 16-18″ be best or can I get away with a short necklace with a sparkly strand or two hanging longer in back?) Here are a few of the pretty things that I am currently loving…

{Flora Bella necklace also by Luxe Deluxe}
And then there are always the pretty necklaces I made for my bridesmaids, of which I have one extra. Perhaps I should just wear one of those and save money entirely?
I also love the look of the pretty, dainty, sparkly pink quartz bracelet made/worn by Peonies with her wedding dress. Maybe I scratch a necklace entirely and go for a fabulous bracelet?
I’m also a firm believer you can never go wrong with a classic necklace from Tiffany, like their gorgeous and simple Pearls by the Yard necklace and matching bracelet.
So, in a nutshell, I have no clue what I want to wear. Any suggestions? I would love to hear your thoughts! As a reminder, this is my dress…

I think you will want a necklace for photos etc. Especially as you are wearing diamond studs as earrings. Your dress is strapless, so there’s a lot of territory to work with, and it’s sparkly too, so you want to balance the sparkly. Given all that, then it’s a question of what do you want to highlight. Face? Short necklace. Bustline? Long necklace. And so on.
I love the third necklace with the flower. and I love your dress, I can’t wait to see it!

I got my necklace at Creme de Luxe and it was similar in design to a couple of these and I LOVED the strings of pearls in the back. SO gorgeous!
Your dress screams for pearls, if you ask me. Big beautiful ones, not too short, but not long either. Yummy…pearls and diamond studs. So classic.
I would go with either the Flora Bella or the Tiffany. These are more timeless. Your dress is gorgeous!
First of all – beautiful dress!! And quick reminder – just make sure its something you love because it’ll become a treasured part of your jewelry collection in 3 months.
As for the necklace, I would say that it somewhat depends on what you are wearing for earrings and how you are doing your hair. If you are doing a dramatic updo and have on dramatic earrings, I’d skip the necklace. Otherwise – I LOVE the Enchanted necklace!!! I think the double strands will look elegant, a little structured beauty, and subtle enough to be delicate. HIGHLY recommend that one.
I decided to go with no necklace and just earrings and a bracelet, so I am slighly biast towards that look. It really just depends on how “blingy” you want to look. I do love the pearls hanging down the back though. The place where I got our wedding bands mentioned being able to change the clasp on a long strand of pearls so that it would hang down the back . . . super pretty!
