I am personal and love my florist and caterer. We get on really well and I love to have just random conversations with them. In fact, my caterer can tell when I am in a bad mood. However, my photographer and I exchange probably about 2-3 email a month. When we first started working on a contract things it was like 2-3 times a day. I adore her. She's on my facebook. We read each other's blogs. Send out personal congrats and other emails. It makes working with them feel natural. I love it. I have to completely agree. I am personal and love my florist and caterer. I'm in the same situation, and don't know if we should wait to tell people, or tell some people, or continue to do things "'our way" and announce it ring-less, because really, though we all love jewelry, it's about deciding to make a commitment, not a piece of (really really pretty so excited about getting it) jewelry. And what to say - i guess - "we decided to get married next spring"? Anyway, i'd love to hear how you and anyone else out there handled that.
