After determining what I “Do” and “Don’t” want at my wedding, the next thing to do is figure out the look and style of wedding I want to convey. This starts with finding inspiration.
With the creation of Wedding Blogs, inspiration seems to fall at our finger tips on a daily basis (literally.) There are so many unique ideas to be found!
Every photo that I am drawn to, I make sure to keep a collection to pull from later.
(For more on organizing these photos, check out my post here.)

Inspiration doesn’t just have to come from wedding related photos. It can be drawn from colors, textures and everyday things.
For example, this door, what a striking blue. This color palate would be perfect for a rustic winter wedding.

I think in images and love when I can really visualize things. If you know someone who can draw and understands your vision, have them do a sketch of your wedding. This can sometimes help!
Think outside of the box when looking for inspiration. Ideas can come from nature, from your own home, etc. Bring a camera with you everywhere you go and when you least expect it, something will spark your interest.
Where do you draw inspiration from?
