Meet Bradley!

Wedding plans will be on hold for the next couple days because of the new addition to our family.

Meet Bradley, our 2 month old baby puggle!

He has silky black fur and the most adorable eyes.  Although he loves to play outside in the grass, he is very calm and loving.

Bradley even shares the same birthday with me (Feb 17!)

Me and Ger had talked about getting a puppy for some time now and decided to finally make the leap.  Sure, it throws a wrench into the wedding plans but I think he is a wonderful addition and just what we need.  He will teach us more about responsibility and building a family and even a marriage. Bradley will bring us even closer together.

Even though this post isn’t about honeymoons or invitations, it does have something to do with getting married. Sometimes we get so wrapped up in picking a venue, choosing our flowers, etc. that we forget why we are having a wedding.  As the great John Lennon said (with my own little touch):

“Life is what happens to you while you’re busy making wedding plans.”
—  John Lennon (Modified by Abby)

We must remember that after a wedding life does go on and Bradley is our reminder.

we heart your comments!
  1. i love this post (not to mention your puggle is so cute, i’ve never seen a black one!) I have two puppies at home (a pug and a pug-boston mix) and they really do remind you to slow down and smile and relize how great life is…while planning a Wedding!

  2. [...] just arrived yesterday and is already part of the family.  Be sure to go over to Elizabeth Anne Designs to hear more about this little guy and how he relates to the wonderful world of wedding [...]

  3. OMG! He is sooo adorable! He will bring you both lots of laughs, love and maybe a few tears here and there.

  4. What an adorable addition to your blooming family! Congratulations!!! I hope he brings you many fond memories, snuggles and wet puppy nuzzles for years to come! oxox

  5. He is ADORABLE!!! We have a puggle as well – he is 2 years old and is such a joy. These little guys pack the personalities of dogs 10 times their size. He always has us laughing! One thing – he is calm now, but wait a bit and the energy will kick in…I promise!! =o) Enjoy

Thank you everyone for your sweet comments! He is so fun to have around and of course a little mischief-maker at times.

    Here’s to little pups!

  7. I’m sitting at my desk cheesin’ like a loser at this adorable puppy! He looks so precious! I have a weakness for dogs. They just make my heart melt! Puggles might be a handful, but they sure are cute! There’s also something very human about Bradley’s face…

  8. Aww… he’s adorable!! I’ve been wanting to get a pet too for the longest time for us here but it’s just not feasible with our future plans of travelling. You’re going to have sooo much fun with him!!

Love the spin on the John Lennon quote! My fiance and I can’t wait to get our Bernese Mountain Dog some day! (Quite a bit bigger than your Puggle!)

  11. I have a black puggle too! Hudson just turned two.

  12. OMG…what a little cutie! We have a 10 month old beagle and love her to pieces. I haven’t seen an all black puggle before, he is absolutely adorable!
