Hey Becky! My friend is pretty much a professional DJ (used to be a side gig during college and now it's a part time thing in addition to his full time job), but with that said - had he not been up for it, finding a willing friend to run an ipod was my backup option. And, for our Friday night cocktail party we're going with an ipod to keep it simple. If your friend loves music and is up for it, I'd say you should go for it and maybe just pack an extra ipod and backup CDs in the event of ipod malfunction.

Hi! Is your DJ friend a professional DJ with professional equipment? We are thinking of having our music guru friend DJ our reception with an iPod. Is this crazy talk, or are you comfortably marching down that same path?
