That looks amazing Emily! I'm sure you and Nick will have a fantastic time. My travel agent was the hubster. He has been to Germany and Austria countless times (having a German father) and was very familiar with the language and area. He planned an unforgettable trip and it was so worth it to spend the money while we had it (AKA before buying a house!) Anyway, I hope you enjoy your honeymoon as much as we did.

LaurenH’s most recent blog post: No Frills French Country

@ Shelley Sounds like we should plan an anniversary trip to Jungle Bay! Welcome to the EAD family, by the way. I can't wait to read more about your upcoming wedding!

My husband and I went to a different resort on Maroma beach for our honeymoon six years ago and it was AMAZING!!! The views are spectacular, the beach feels private, etc. We still dream about going back (we keep telling ourselves next year). If you have the chance to eat outside your resort, the restaurant a the Maroma Hotel is REALLY good - http://www.maromahotel.com/web/ocan/maroma.jsp

Omg, SO ironic that you mentioned Jungle Bay in Dominica... I've been there!! Went last year with my parents for my Dad's 50th. It is an absolutely beautiful, lush, DIFFERENT kind of place. I'm sorry you won't be able to go but if it makes you feel any better, I don't know that it's a great place for a honeymoon unless you guys are super outdoorsy. I mean SUPER. The primary thing to do there is go on hikes as the beach is really rocky and the water un-enterable.

Don't get my wrong, the resort is awesome, the island uncommercialized, the trails great, and while I definitely want to go back here with A one day, I'd never want it to be our honeymoon because it's much more of an active vacation than a relaxing one. (I remember being on the longest hike to Boiling Lake thinking, "Man, can't wait to get back to my desk in Boston and RELAX!" lol).

Definitely add it to your list for your next vacation though!
