Glamorous Gray

I am in love with gray.  It is perhaps my favorite color to work with because it can be used with absolutely every color.  I’ve done a brown and gray board before and although the color scheme is similar in this board, the feeling is completely different.  Adding in just the slightest tinge of a mauve-y purple gives this board a completely glamorous and elegant feel.

Perfection for a winter wedding, oui?

we heart your comments!
  1. Yes, perfect for a winter wedding.

  2. I love it! Who knew gray could be so chic? We did a gray and yellow inspiration board a while back and I just love how a tiny pop of color can make gray perfect for any season!

Oh how much do I love grey. Please don’t let it become trendy.

  4. I never though about gray as a wedding color. But in the pictures it it looks beautiful. Great post thanks for the inspiration.

  5. That could even be glamourous for a summer wedding. Light grey with chocolate brown.

  6. I love gray and brown and the weather here is certainly all about that today!

I am absolutely in love with this inspiration board, but I am planning on an April wedding…would it be completely inappropriate to use these colors in a spring wedding?

  8. Absolutely not Christina. I have no idea why people insist that certain colours can only be used at certain times of year. This is fabulous classic/timeless.

  9. Perfect, season-less, gorgeous grey in all it’s glory! Beautiful. Wonderful board.

  10. I really love this and am inspired to plan my entire wedding around this theme, but i am having a hard time envisioning flowers to accomplish what i want. I will probably do solid gray dupioni silk bridesmaid dresses with black sashes. i really love the grey, mocha, brown, almost plum and mauve but i don’t want to go too much in the plum/purple or pinkish direction. I like the black incorporated too and i love the idea of a touch of the black feathers here and there. Can you recommend any flower combos?

Hi Jessica! I would stick with snowy white flowers, maybe some freesia? And for sure use anemonies to add that darker color to the mix!

  11. OOOOh my goodness. Just found this board on a google image search and i am in LOVE with this board. so lovely !
