my BF and i looked for our home for 10 months. we made 4 offers, changed our minds 4 days before closing, went through 4 realtor's. when we decided to pull out and not go with our first place i was sooo upset. i cried all night. like you , everyone told me that i would find another, better place. and i assured them that i would not. but guess what? i did! and i am so much happier in our home than i would have been in the first place. don't rush it. kathy’s most recent blog post: Amazing Grace

My fiance and I are getting married Sept 9th and we just had an offer accepted on a farm. Not only was it foreclosed but it needs a LOT OF WORK. I think we’re absolutely insane for not only getting married and buying a home w/in 60-90 days but also planning a reception in October AND remodeling a house/garage/etc.

We joke that if we can make it to Christmas, we can make it through anything :)

Our wedding is in just over 3 months. We want to buy a house before that. We haven’t seen any houses in person, and because FI is gone for training right now, we can’t start until the end of the month. This could get stressful, to say the least!

We closed on our house two months before our wedding, and it was sooo stressful. A year earlier I had figured I’d be wrapped up with wedding stuff by the time we’d be buying and would have more time to devote to house-finding and mortgage applications, but I really didn’t understand how hard the hunt would be or how much time the process took up. Good luck to you – that house is beautiful!

I feel your pain. Long story short, I moved from PA to be with my future husband over Labor Day weekend of 2008. We started looking for houses, I found myself unemployed in December, and he proposed this past February. So at one point, I’m planning a wedding for this fall, searching for jobs, and trying to find our future lovenest all at once! (And he was trying to budget for the wedding, our honeymoon, the house, AND my bills all at once!)
Fortunately I’ve just recently found a job, but that hasn’t made the househunt or the wedding planning easier. And the market down here in Charlotte isn’t as great as it is everywhere else.

I love the house!! Looks really nice. We are also buying a house while planning a wedding... goodness, you're right about the stress! We have been engaged for about 2 months and we hopefully close on our new house in 2 weeks. It's going to be really nice to have somewhere to call our home base though while planning a wedding!
