Vintage stamps are awesome! I have to say I have a weakness for them as well. I think they are great on wedding invitations but I can’t stop there. They are just cool. The flower stamps are my favorite ones above!

Wow, what a great idea! I would have never thought of that. Not only do they make the the invitations stand out but I bet many guests save them which makes for a nice keepsake! Thanks for the great idea Nole!

I just got a bunch of vintage stamps the other day at a stamp show. We designed/used custom stamps for our invitations & reply envelopes (1 was a pic of my grandmother’s wedding dress, 1 was a pic from my grandparents’ wedding album), but I am using the vintage stamps for our thank yous! It took a few hours to lay out the stamps on the envelopes to work out $0.44 each, but they look great. I separated the ones I bought into piles based on the denomination, and for most envelopes I was able to use the same denominations over & over (like, 2 – $0.13 + 1-$0.10+1-$0.08=$0.44), and just mix up the patterns. Such a cool look!

I’m old enough to actually remember those beautiful flower-y “LOVE” stamps… so pretty!
I didn’t use vintage stamps, but did have to end up using 2-3 stamps per envelope to cover the extra weight of my handmade invitations.

I just finished my invitations---and I used a whole bunch of vintage stamps on them. It was a very eclectic look, but it turned out wonderfully. Since many of the stamps came in smaller amounts of money---it was a lot of work coordinating them in the right combination for each of the envelopes.
