I love this idea, I am planning on using a picture of my husband and I next to the 'SOLD' sign on the boxes. What was the postage like? Were you able to use postcard stamps?

Did you have any trouble using these? I have been told by several postal workers that those priority mail stickers MUST be used on priority mail. Since you were using First Class mail, I am just wondering if anything was said to you.

These are adorable! My boyfriend and I are closing on the purchase of our first home next week, and I began looking for moving announcements earlier this week. I came across this website: http://www.marthastewart.com/article/moving-announcements. I think the ideas under the "First Home How-to" section are great. We are going to utilize the floor plan for our new home in our announcements based on the suggestion at this website.

p.s. This is my first visit to your blog, and I think it is great - thank you!

Such a cute idea! I'm definitely going to be re-creating this project the next time we move! Small world, but we actually just moved from Sandy Springs, GA to Gainesville, FL home of UF and of course Gator Nation this past March. I sent out cards to our friends and fam with a picture of an alligator pulling moving boxes in a red wagon and the header said "See Ya Later Alligator! We moved!" :)

Very cute. I think that the last time I moved (2+ years ago) I just sent out an e-mail. No cute pictures even. Just "hey guys, I live here now." So I'm kind of in awe that you made a project out of it at all!
