Return of the Gocco
Following a June filled with invitation construction, we needed a break from the Gocco. But this past weekend — the last one before the wedding! — we got reacquainted with our old friend.
Project #1: Cocktail Napkins
My mom suggested we add our monogram to red and orange cocktail napkins to use during the cocktail hour and to distribute with our cupcakes …

Surprise!
(author’s collection)
So, about 2 months ago Garrett and I talked about eloping. This isn’t the first time we’d talked about it, and based on the many occasions I see engaged people blog or comment about just wanting to elope and get rid of the stress, we weren’t alone. Because of the intimacy and privacy that elopement entailed, we were planning to …

I again used the pewter design …

I’ll take that one there, please.
With 11 months to go and the school year right around the corner, I’m a bit more antsy to make some more decisions about the wedding. I’m not talking about cake flavors or napkin folds or anything, but I feel like it might be good if I had SOME sort of idea of what this whole shindig should look like, …

Real Weddings: Melissa + Steve
I don’t know what it is about orange weddings that gets me.
I absolutely adore Laura from Laura Kay Photo (and her fabulous new blog, go check it out) – her work is so classic and she was a perfect choice for Melissa and Steve’s beautiful Virginia wedding.
What’s so great about this wedding is the sweetness of it! OK, without further …

It’s Official, I’m a Two Dress Bride…

I know what you are thinking, “I thought Abby decided that she was going to wear her original dress?” Well, that was true until I changed my mind (AGAIN.)
Remember when I went to try on dresses at Vera Wang the first time? There was one dress in particular that I absolutely loved …
