My favorite set is the Bubbling Brooke. Like our wedding it gives a classic a modern feel. Like everyone else here I could list several reasons why we can't do letterpress on our own. My story is no more or less interesting than any of the given stories. I just know that I won't be able to have something as artistically well done as invites from Don't Press Me on my own.

I'll keep it short and sweet...

economy in the toilet, except for the NYC wedding industry which appears to still be thriving... that means tradeoffs galore. so our invite budget? had to go towards renting chairs to replace the awful red conference room chairs (not to mention limiting - I want purple and orange and red chairs just dont fit in with that) that come with our location.

How we'll capture the spirit of our vintage/old hollywood wedding with DIY invites? still havent figured that one out... letterpress invites would set the stage AND add that cherry on top!

I love the Peony Park, it's so elegant! I love letterpress, I'm a fan of all things handmade and made with love. Letterpress is very romantic and leaves a lasting impression with those that receive a letterpress card. My fiance is currently deployed to Iraq, this is the second wedding for us which means, we have bills, mortgages and a wedding to pay! Due to our tight finances we are planning a small wedding once he returns to the US late next year.

Wow, all of the invitations on the website are absolutely gorgeous! Unfortunately, this beautiful work comes at a price my fiance and I cannot afford. I am having a vintage style wedding in Bloomington, IN and the letter press would be a fabulous touch. It is a beautiful piece of artwork that is chic, elegant and timeless. I would love to have this be a part of our special day!!!!

Letterpress is the ultimate tactile invitation. I love the texture ....it makes the words seem even more special... but its subtly is was wins me over... it doesn't shout luxury but rather whispers it softly for you to pay attention and want to learn more...

until you see how much they cost... then you want to shout for sure!!! hhahaha

Can I love letterpress enough for both myself and my fiance? =) The best part for me is the thick texture and the subtle 3-D goodness. I wish I could have in my hands what I only see in stationery stores and in pictures (oh camera macro, how you tease me).
My fiance and I are getting married in New York so that his grandparents and most of his family in the nearby area can attend.
Unfortunately, New York = cha-ching!, so we have to watch our budget closely. We're soo thankful that the his family can be there, and we know that's most important, even if it means that we won't be able to save as much to spend on extra happy goodness. We can live without letterpress invitations, but it'd be such a great treat to have them!

i love anything paper and type, but my true love is letterpress. there is something about the raised characters and how it looks on a nice piece of heavy paper, but i digress. my fiance and i are paying for our own wedding. a few months ago i lost my job and have been unable to find one in this economy. unfortunately, this has pushed back our wedding date because we can't exactly afford a one with only one income. i am doing all of the wedding planning myself, and will be making my own flowers and center pieces to help cut down the cost. i would be great to win and not have to make our invitations as well. (obviously, if i make them myself, they would never be letterpressed.)

I would melt to be able to send out letterpress invitations. I love the dramatic simplicity of letterpress (if that makes any sense). Plus, I’m a big tactile person, so I love being able to run my finger over letterpress.
My fiancé and I are getting married next August back home in Minnesota. We’ve been living and teaching on an island in the middle of the Pacific for the past few years. This summer we’ll be attempting to move back across the world, find new jobs, find a place to live, and pull off a fabulous wedding. This will no doubt amount to a fair bit of stress but not much spare change (I mentioned we are both teachers, right?)

I know letterpress is far out of our budget, as we are trying to keep all wedding costs down due to the economy :( but after holding and feeling one letterpress invitation, I can't bear the thought of budget stationery for our wedding.

I love letterpress and the elegance it adds to the occasion. Why we can't afford it? Well, aside from weddings being expensive from the get-go.... we are doing everything on our own. Unfortunately after some major medical issues, my parents aren't able to help and we have had to cut our budget, guestlist, plans, everything. This would be a great treat!
