@Andrea: The bridal dresses, in comparison to other wedding dresses, are pretty reasonably priced—all of them are under 1k! You can see them here with their prices: http://www.sajawedding.com/collection_gowns.html.
Unfortunately the maids dresses are more pricey in comparison to other dresses you’ll find out there. The short styles are $295. My big sisters were willing to splurge.

You know I took the lazy way out, having them choose their own – but for myself, I love being able to wear a really glam floor length gown as a bridesmaid that I will NEVER wear again. I hope that comes back in style before all my friends are married. I really like your Saja dresses, though. I think I would re-wear that as a fancy dinner dress, or at least really enjoy wearing it at the time.

@Clare Richardson: Oh dear–at least the bride was cool and didn’t do anything! You’ve clearly proven me wrong that bridesmaid dresses can be worn again. :)
When I was looking at more casual white dresses to wear for the wedding, I was afraid that someone would show up in the same dress. I guess that’s one reason why people advise against wearing white!

I haven’t reworn a bridesmaid dress, but I have worn the same dress as the bridesmaids at a wedding! It was one of those Ann Taylor Celebrations dresses; brides beware of actually wearing those to weddings if you’re not in the wedding party! :)

I have actually worn one of my bridesmaid dresses 3x. It was a very simple and classic style so it was easy to re-wear. I have another that, although pretty, I’m afraid would look too much like a bridesmaid dress. I love the style of the green dress above, I think I’d like my bridesmaids to wear something like that!

I’ve had decent bridesmaid dresses. However, I wouldn’t wear the again because they look like bridesmaid dresses. I’m really proud of the fact that my girls chose their own dresses. My only regret is that I would have shopped at Ann Taylor or some large retailer because I spent a lot on their dresses (custom is not always cracked up).

I will be in two weddings next year and neither dresses I doubt I will ever wear again. One of my goals as a bride was to not make my BMs pay an insane amount of money for a dress they will wear only to my wedding. So, I have decided to have them wear black cocktail length dresses. Hopefully they will get some use out of them. Who doesn’t love a LBD??

Love those dresses. Great choice. I’ve been in 8 weddings (I think..I’m losing track!) and the only dress I’ve worn again is the dress from a wedding where the bride told me I could wear whatever I want as long as it was black. I think most BM’s know they’ll never wear their dresses again, but if it’s FABULOUS and reasonably priced…wearing it again doesn’t matter!!!

I’m on the hunt for dresses that my bridesmaids can actually wear again, too… I am too practical a person to have any desire for them to spend $150 on a dress to wear once and never have any use for again.
I love what you picked out, I don’t want to use bright colors, but they are beautiful & I’m checking out Saja’s website right now!
