If Bradley could talk, I’m sure this is what he would be asking me. With all of the Wedding plans, it’s easy to forget about our little guy and what we plan on doing with him during the wedding.
We would love to have Bradley be a part of the big day. It really wouldn’t be complete without him there however, it is turning out to be quite a challenge. Although our venue is dog friendly, the hard part will be to get him over to Ireland.
Imagine Bradley in a little bow tie running around on our big day! He would be such a gentleman. However, this brings up another point, in the midst of all of the last minute details and events, would we really be able to give him all of the love an attention he needs? Would we be too distracted to watch after him? What about when it’s time to go on our honeymoon. Does he stay in Ireland while we are in Japan?
One of the other side of the coin, could we really go 3+ weeks without this guy? Where in the world would he go? I’m sure the cost of puppy hotel’s aren’t cheap. This plan doesn’t seem any better!
I need your help! For those of you who have special guys at home, how are you incorporating them into your wedding plans?

We had our 2 dogs walked down the aisle with 2 of our groomsmen…. we thought that it might have been tough to get them to behave with all those people around but it turned out to be so hot in SoCal that day that they just laid there in front!! After the ceremony we took a few pics and then had a dog walker pick them up and take them for a swim then home. Worked out perfectly and I LOVE that they were there for the big day:)
I can totally understand you wanting to have the baby be part of your day. We’re still trying to figure out how to get our two boys there for pictures, but we’re getting married locally. An overseas flight would be rough on the little guy and then there’s all the importation issues to deal with (I think that Ireland and the UK are especially difficult). How about having a doggie wedding photo session when you get home. It will give you a chance to wear your dress again!
Dog sitting can be someone’s wedding gift to you! Including getting the dog back to the states.
We’re trying to figure out what to do with our 2 Labs, since we’re getting married in another city (live in Austin, TX, getting married in Houston). The current plan is for the dogs to come with us to Houston before the wedding, then someone from Austin will take them back and keep them during our 2 week honeymoon. That will definitely be their wedding gift to us!
