Alli and Jason’s Indianapolis garden wedding is full of personality. Jenny Grise of Grise Photography captured all of the wonderful moments, including a quite unexpected downpour during the ceremony!
The couple chose chocolate brown and green as their color palette and bridesmaids wore gowns of their choosing by J Crew.
The gardens of the Indianapolis Museum of Art were a perfect setting for the ceremony….
… until the downpour came! Jenny says:
It started pouring right near the end of the ceremony. Not drizzling, I’m talking a downpour. What could you do? They just laughed and carried on! I was so inspired by their attitude that the rain made the wedding that much more romantic and beautiful.
Escort cards were tied around the trees surrounding the reception tent.
I adore the fresh flower cake topper designed by florist Jim Holland.
Favorite! Such a perfect picture of the day…

What a beautiful wedding. So rain isn’t what you hope for but glad to see they made the best of it. Guests do mimic the mood of the bride and groom.

Beautiful wedding. I like the idea of using flowers instead if an aisle runner.

Beautiful! Even though the rain wasn’t invited the last shot of the kiss under the umbrella makes it all worth it
