We chatted the other day about wedding philosophies, and one thing that I touched on was that your wedding should stand the test of time. On that theme, here is a classic red, ivory, and sepia inspiration board for you. Notice the multiple ways that handwriting in red ink makes an appearance, subtly tying the elements of the board together. Handwriting is so personal… such a great way to make your wedding your own!
{Clockwise from top left: classic bride photographed by Justin and Mary Marantz via Style Me Pretty, handwritten wedding invitation from Martha Stewart via {frolic!}, chair and pillow from Schumacher via Desire to Inspire, monogrammed linens from Martha Stewart via Ritzy Bee, red and gold mirror from the (now defunct) Domino Magazine, plates hanging on wall from red ribbon via Point Click Home, two-tier cake with ribbon and lily of the valley from InStyle Weddings, desk and curtains with red stripe from Easy Living Magazine via White & Wander, stitched words on heart created by Cathy Cullis via Love Stitching Red, red heels photographed by Casey Templeton}
What personal touches are you going to incorporate into your wedding? How are you going to weave them into your event so they aren’t overpowering, but are merely simple, honest reflections of you?

So lovely Ami! And I’m definitely falling for the red-lipped look on brides.

I could imagine the bride featured in this theme board giving a stunning red lipstick to her female guests as favours. Perhaps a MAC or Chanel. And for the men, an embroided red hankerchief.
