I love these doilies daintily hung from the ceiling by string. Such an inventive and easy idea – they would be perfect hanging above your tables!
And while we’re on the subject of doilies:
- These vintage doily linen drawstring gift bags are pretty fabulous
- Who can forget Ellen’s gorgeous doily garland?
- Paul Lowe (author of one of my favorite blogs, Sweet Paul) created these unbelievable doily lace votive candles for Snippet & Ink
- This doily table runner is to die for
- Courtney has tons of doily inspiration on the Little White Book
- A wedding featuring handmade doily garlands on East Side Bride
- And my favorite: Kacie and Brandon’s doily favor bags on Snippet & Ink

I like the look of the doilies suspended above tables and in a room possibly hung with white Chinese lanterns. You could alternate them strung garland style above tables for a trendy yet elegant look!
Another idea would be to add the bride and groom’s initials to the doilies.
