Hi Paul,
Sorry, but I'm not sure if postage rates will go up? Might be best to contact the USPS to make sure and to see about the holiday stamps! Sorry again...

This year, my wife and I will be mailing square (5.25″ x 5.25″) Christmas cards in envelopes. I understand that the current postage rate for such an item is 64 cents. Will there be (or is there already) a 64-cent holiday stamp? If so, can they be ordered online? If we get them early, is there any likelihood that postage rates will increase between now and Christmas 2010?

I love these, and all the ones you featured would be great for the appropriate theme! Also, for anyone doing a tropical/beach theme, there's one of a rainforest that's quite pretty.

At Perfect Postage, we love custom postage - vintage wedding stamp designs are very popular right now. Here are a few sample I've created for brides over the last few months:

I recently sent out my Save the Date cards and used two 32cent yellow rose stamps from 1994. I sent square cards so it was perfect postage at 64 cents! They were absolutely lovely and I only spent a few extra cents per stamp over face value. I bought them through a stamp collector on eBay. My dream was to have a collection of vintage stamps on the envelope but I think this looked great just to have two that really matched my color scheme (yellow!).

I'm not sure what I'm going to do for the invitations. The only stamp that I like in the new collection is the monarch butterfly. Unfortunately it doesn't come out until May 17! It looks like I'll be doing some more vintage stamp shopping on eBay.

I adore the pansies in a basket stamp, but sadly it will not come out in time for my invites to go out in early March. I need 81 cents/envelope (over one oz and square) so I'm gonna slap the K and Q of hearts on each one together and call it a day.

Yeah, just not crazy about that barcode and the "zazzle.com" along the edge of the stamp. Although I did see someone use them really well and I'm going to post about that soon!
