Bridesmaids (who should be known as Bridesavers)

Your bridesmaids are the girls that keep you sane.  Wait. It’s not just keeping you sane, but keeping you happy and keeping you focused on you.  They help you remember that your wedding is about you and your love and your life – not ultimately about the welcome baskets or the cake plates or the weather or any people that happen to drive you crazy… They are your saviors.

With them doing all this for you, you want to be nice to them… I never understood the bride who stuck their girls in hideous get ups to make sure she really shone.  That’s just cruel, no?  I wanted my ladies to look good and be comfortable and have fun.  Oh, and be able to wear their dress again.  Tall order… Here are each of my darling bridesmaids sporting their wedding day duds.

Necklaces: Anthropologie
Shoes: Unforgettable Moments (Lela Rose for Payless) in Cashmere (they got to pick their own style)

I really loved their look – what do you think?

  1. How nice! They looked lovely – and they got to pick their own shoes?! I’m in an upcoming wedding and the bride asked for ZERO feedback on her choices from us, she’s just said “This is what I picked, buy it” – so we are wearing so-so dresses and the most hideous shoes I’ve ever seen, and we have to foot the bill. I like it when brides actually consider their bridesmaids.

  2. They look great! LOVE the necklaces…they can definitely wear those again! I had each of my BMs pick a dress style they liked in the same material/color from Jcrew…and I”m letting them pick whatever shoes they want! hopefully in a grey or black! They seem to really appreciate that I’m letting them pick their own stuff…as I’m sure your BMs did too!
    PS…those bouquets are beautiful!!

  3. Thanks for the sweet comments! I have wide feet and I know that not all shoes fit me well – I wanted the girls to be able to pick ones that worked for them! Oh, and the flowers are by the very talented Stacey of The Bloom Room in Asheville, NC (www.bloom-room.com)

  4. Great tips. I love the dresses. If more brides and bridesmaids worked together with the shoes and dresses. Not only would the bridesmaids be more comfortable but they could complement the bride’s beauty.

Beautiful pictures! I LOVE the necklaces! I am getting married in a month and I’ve been looking around for necklaces for my bridesmaids. Yours are the exact sort of thing that I’ve been looking for! Do you know if they are still in stores at Anthropologie? I didn’t see them on their website.
