We decided to wait until next year to go to Japan. Why? I really want to go during cherry blossom season and who says you need to go right after your wedding, right?
Of course we still want to go on a little trip after the wedding to relax and unwind but with all of the other details to take care of, I’m not up to anything too intense.
After a week of arguing of where to go, a decision was finally made. I proposed a plan to let Ger surprise me with our honeymoon destination. As long as he took care of all the flights, hotel accommodations and details, it didn’t matter to me! I’m actually really excited for it to be a surprise. It also is a weight off my chest to not have to worry about one more thing before the wedding!
Would ever consider letting your fiance surprise you with your honeymoon location?

That’s genius!

I asked my husband to surprise me!!! It was the best decision concerning our wedding! I didn’t even have to think about it – except for being extremely excited to be going to an unknown location! Jordan, my husband, did a great job. It was the perfect honeymoon and if I would have known I may have objected. I’m glad I didn’t know!
My fiancé has taken care of all of the details of our honeymoon, down to location, how long, where we’re staying, etc. He’s shown me some of what I’m in for, and I’m one lucky gal!

I AM letting my Fiance surprise me. This is SOOOO out of my nature. I’m the type of girls who has an opinion about everything and I like to be in control. It’s a TRUE act of love for me, I don’t want it to be a surprise because I want to have a say! My fiance really wants it to be surprise for me because its fun for him. He says that I get to plan the wedding and he gets to plan the honeymoon. Oh I hope he chooses wisely!!! I trust him though…I hope…ahh it kills me! Either way it will me amazing I’m sure, even if he takes me to the boondocks… : / I love him so much though so it’s worth it!!
I think I’d let my fiance plan our honeymoon, but I also have a friend who let her fiance do this, and it was a disaster. My friend’s fiance hinted to her they were going to Hawaii, but it turns out he didn’t make ANY plans until the day before the wedding, and so they ended up driving two hours to go to a local theme park. So, I guess the long story short is, if you know you’re marrying someone completely unreliable, don’t expect Hawaii!
This is EXACTLY what we’re doing! I hate surprises but I can’t wait for this one!!!

One of my close friends is letting her boy to be plan a lovely surprise. I am coming around to the idea. It does sound rather romantic.

Totally!! Surprisingly actually…I am very type A and usually am the one with the folders and checklists and everything packed 3 days ahead of time…but I’d totally be down for him surprising me!

My husband planned a wonderful surprise honeymoon. My family and friends all knew where we were going but I was in the dark. It was wonderful and I wouldn’t have changed a thing. Enjoy your honeymoon.
Oh my gosh, Erin’s poor friend! A theme park when she was expecting Hawaii!? I wonder if she was mad at him?! My husband was super sick during our honeymoon and I couldn’t help but be mad at him! So we’re doing a honeymoon do-over and he’s planning the whole thing. But so help him if we go to a theme park.

I wish I could let go of my control freak ways to have my husband surprise me. Although, we did have so much fun planning our perfect honeymoon.

I would be all about Garry planning our honeymoon! He has really good taste and knows what I would/wouldn’t like.
I figure if he can do an amazing job picking out an engagement ring (and our bands!) without my consult – he can handle a honeymoon!
