Bridal Suite Inspiration Shoot

Going to New York for the Stationery Show was such fun!  Not only was I able to see the talented and amazing stationers who exhibited, but it was also a chance to get together with several amazingly talented ladies I don’t often get to spend time with.  With the Inspired Creations Contest coming soon, Cyd and I thought it would be a great opportunity to create a little bit of inspiration ourselves!

As we discussed concepts, the idea of creating a bridal suite came to mind.  We immediately connected to the idea, as we both treasure our relationships with our closest girlfriends and love the idea of celebrating those relationships during the special time just before the wedding.  We were thrilled when Lanie List opened the doors of Lovely Bridal Shop for our shoot, and were so lucky to be able to partner with some amazingly talented woman to bring our idea to life!

All of these gorgeous images were captured by Missy Photography (who is also shooting our very own Kasia’s wedding, which is sure to be fantastic!).

The lovely ladies of Poppies and Posies created a fluffy pink peony arrangement for our breakfast display, which consisted of muffins, croissants and jam, fresh fruit, pink champagne spritzers, scones, macaroons, and tea sandwiches.

Beautiful gift boxes are expensive and difficult to find, so we purchased several paiper mache gift boxes from Michael’s ($1-$3 apiece) and covered the box and lid with decorative papers. Organza flowers, ribbon, and calligraphed gift tags completed the look.

Of course no bridal suite is complete without a blushing bride!  Lovely has so many fabulous gowns to choose from that we couldn’t resist creating a couple of different looks. Jackie from Merci New York is wearing the beautiful ‘Giselle’ gown from Elizabeth Dye.  The ‘Giselle’ perfectly fits in with the romantic and sweet theme of our concept!  Jackie’s gorgeous bouquet features pink peonies, mint, and poppy pods and was also created by Sierra and Juliet of Poppies and Posies.

Head on over to The Sweetest Occasion to see Jackie in our other bridal look!

Garters are such a timeless tradition!  The Garter Girl creates adorable and stylish garters and was kind enough to provide a custom peach and gray garter for our shoot (look out later today for a giveaway sponsored by Julianne Smith, not only did she send a lovely garter for us to use, she also handmade a duplicate garter which I’ll be giving away this week!)
