I have more adorable picnic wedding inspiration for you today! I’m so excited to show off the casual and fun wedding of my friend Ashley, from Ashley Brooke Designs.
Ashley and Manuel love to go on picnics together so when they began to plan their wedding a casual outdoor fete – complete with blankets, baskets, sandwiches, pasta, lemonade, and twinkle lights – was the first thing they thought of!
The wedding day was so relaxed and fun, Ashley helped all of the ladies with their makeup and her sister made all of the cakes.
Ashley is so elegant in her J Crew halter gown.
Guests created their own picnic basket dinner and drank lemonade from mason jars.
All of the quilts used as tablecloths and picnic blankets are handmade heirlooms from Ashley’s great-grandmother.
In lieu of a traditional signature, guests were invited to leave their “green thumb” on a wedding tree.
Everyone joined in on the fun, playing bocce ball, croquet, and corn hole.

I love, love, LOVE Ashley Brooke’s wedding. She is a beautiful person, inside and out and one of the most wonderful girls on the planet. I just love that she and her Mr. were able to make their day so original, so sweet and so them! How special to have a wedding that she worked so hard on to personalize, and a sister to make such amazing cakes! One in a million.

That was a beautiful wedding. I loved the wedding tree idea instead of the traditional wedding guest book.
I have to say, when I read the description on the page that linked to this (I think it was an article titled “Don’t Tell Me What I Can’t Do”) I was skeptical and thought “well yeah, you’re not supposed to do any of those things!” I am pleasantly surprised to see that this wedding seems PERFECT for the bride an groom – down to the picnic and non-designer wedding gown. Way to go! You both proved that you can have a gorgeous wedding by doing it 100% YOUR WAY! :D Many congrats, and wishes of a lifetime of happiness…
Cypress Groove is such a lovely venue! Lee James floral did a really nice job!
