We have reached the last week of the amazing Inspired Creations Contest wedding concepts – I hope that you have enjoyed the unbelievable creativity of all of the submissions as much as I have! I am completely in love with today’s wedding idea from the team of Dandelion & Grey, Olive Juice Photography, and Dapper Paper. They put together a fresh alternative to the standard dinner reception – a southern-style breakfast buffet reception!

Erin at Dandelion & Grey says: “We started with a gorgeous vintage farmhouse dresser placed in a idyllic, expansive field. I wanted to come up with a unique way to house the delicious comfort food and decided on using antique kitchen tools and gadgets for the serving pieces.”

Lovely hooks nailed into a tree act as an escort card holder, and a sweet framed print leans against a tree saying, “We’re fixin’ to Eat, so grab your Seat!”

For a thoughtful favor, the team created darling recipe cards, complete with a delicious recipe for “Grandma’s Biscuits”! The favors were placed in a shallow vintage wooden shelf, along with found objects, like ceramic red hearts, vintage silverware and more kitchen gadgets.

Charming labels, created by Dapper Paper, decorate the buffet, which was filled with traditional Southern favorites, such as grits, sliced tomatoes and biscuits ‘n jelly.

Incredibly, this entire concept from top to bottom was created with a spend of only $410 – a majority of the items were thrifted, such as the dresser purchased for $100, but you can find several of the items pictured in this shoot at Anthropologie, including the hooks, pot holders, and red kitchen timer.

I adore the antique kitchenware…so cool! And I love how the flowers are so integrated into the tablescape, like in the ice cream churner and muffin tin. Perfect rustic chic!

This is awesome! I recently got married and had breakfast food at the reception. I wish I’d had something like this there!
