Fall has firmly settled in here in Chicago, so it’s time to reminisce about summer, and what better way to do that than with a beautiful wedding from Laurie Peacock? All of the details of this wedding, minus the flowers, were created by the couple, and I love all of the personal elements they incorporated!

After an outdoor ceremony in Lincoln Park with a beautiful view of Chicago’s skyline, the couple and their guests moved inside North Pond Restaurant for the reception.

The couple’s new hometown is New York, so seed packet escort cards were decorated with New Yorker magazine cover replicas, leading everyone to their tables, which were marked by specific issues of the magazine.

The bride works in a bookstore and is passionate about literature. She handmade these small books filled with favorite love stories for each guest. The books doubled as place cards and favors.

The adorable flower girl received a decorated lunch box filled with books and coloring accessories. Sure to keep her busy at the reception!

Whenever I see a lovely Chicago wedding like this it makes me miss my home town! What a lovely couple…and such thoughtful details in this wedding! Love the crossword and the escort card idea!
Love the details in this wedding, the couple really spent sometime personalising the details.
I’ve ALWAYS thought about having a wedding here. I tried for ours, but it wasn’t very realistic. I’m so excited to finally see one. It’s even more beautiful than I would have expected. Love it!
