Whimsical, vintage, and colorful were the three words that Natalie had in mind when she envisioned her wedding, and she certainly succeeded. This adorable Virginia wedding, photographed by Rebekah J Murray, was set in Natalie’s parents’ backyard and the day was all about fun, fun, FUN!

Tell me this little guy isn’t precious in his formal attire?

The bowler hat was a last-minute decision by the couple, and Stewart was a true sport about it, wearing it with aplomb. These photos are some of my favorites that Rebekah captured from the day!

All of the little personal and handmade details in the reception make me fall in love with this wedding even more. The vintage typewriter guest book on a small wooden desk… the centerpieces of lovingly worn hardback books… the handmade “Natalie <3 Stewart” and “Just Married” banners… and last but not least, Natalie’s old record player as the “DJ”; I love the personality of it all and the incredible amounts of fun the guests seemed to have!

In the scorching mid-summer Virginia heat, water guns could not have been a more welcome and enjoyable wedding favor!

Natalie and Stewart created a photo station for the reception. They hung dark velvet on the side of the tent and pinned a big paper moon and little stars to it, and finished with the words of the song “It’s only a paper moon.” An abundance of props completed the photo booth, and it was a big hit for all of the guests!

I love when clients are fearless with color! Balloons and sodas are such an inexpensive way to add a “pop” of color and excitement to the day.
