It’s a Boy!

“It’s time,” I declared to my husband just days after our wedding. “We have waited long enough.  We’ve been trying for years but for one reason or another it just never happened.  Can we please start our family now?” I begged.

And so it happened that just a mere three weeks after our wedding, we adopted a baby boy.

Meet Tito – our handsome, intelligent, and ridiculously funny Boston Terrier puppy, who has literally turned our life upside down (as he himself sleeps upside down) but, we wouldn’t want it any other way.

Given my husband’s lengthy work hours and my work travel schedule, we are a few years shy from having children as we just beginning to establish our careers at this point. So like many newlyweds, we got a dog…for now.  But you know what—it’s working .  It’s been a joy having him around but at the same time, my totally independent lifestyle has changed a degree as I’ve realized I can never do impromptu happy hours again.  But… I can go home and walk the dog after work, and THEN join happy hour late–not sure I could do that with a baby, so this will be our family for a little while longer :)
